God Is With Us – My 25 Favorite Christmas Songs (Dec 8)

Holding true to life, yesterday was a low point, but today is already looking up, and the tone of this song is quite appropriate for my mood today.

Hubby’s fever seems to have finally broken. It went up and down from the early (very early) hours of the morning into the later part of the morning, but it seems to be holding steady now.

I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to sleep in my bed again tomorrow night. After I wash all the bedding.

Sleeping not-on-the-sofa is sure to make my life infinitely better in just one night.

Alas, I still do not have a working Christmas tree. It’s looking like we’ll have to borrow Grandma & Grandpa’s tree that they haven’t put up for a couple of years now, and I’ll just buy a new tree when the post-Christmas sales hit.

But overall, I have seen in many ways today that God is whispering to me. He’s saying stop worryingEverything will be okay.

I just have to trust, and wait.

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child,
and shall give birth to a son.
They shall call his name Immanuel;”
which is, being interpreted, “God with us.”

Matthew 1:23 WEB

Do you have a Christmas song that helps you remember that everything is going to be okay?

Hi Bekah. Sorry I haven’t commented on your resent posts… truth is… well, I hate Christmas songs. Ever since I worked in a store in Dublin over the Christmas season and listen to them going on and on and on all through the day. It was horrible.

I’m happy to hear things are settling down in many differenet ways. Sleeping in one’s own bed is always a nice feeling 😉

      It’s okay, I know Christmas music isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. 🙂

I finished making the bed after washing all the bed sheets not too long ago, and oh is it calling my name! Sadly, there are still too many things to do before it’s time for sleep…

What do you think?
