One Silent Night – My 25 Favorite Christmas Songs (Dec 23)

It’s nearly impossible for me to pick a FAVORITE favorite Christmas song, but this one would definitely be in the running.

I don’t remember when I first heard this song – only that I looked forward to it every Christmas on the radio, and then one year came when… it wasn’t on the radio.

And so I started my search high and low, and I eventually I tracked down what the song was, only to discover that FFH had only ever released it as a radio single, and it was no longer in the database of the local Christian radio station.

I wanted to cry.

And then, just on a whim, I googled it one more time a few years ago, as I had developed the habit of doing every Christmas season.

And behold… it was on Amazon. On a brand new Christmas album released by FFH. Before that, they hadn’t released an album in years.

I’d never hit the ‘buy’ button so fast in my life!

Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion!
Shout, daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your King comes to you!
