Just a quick note…

I am alive!

It’s been a busy, crazy week you guys, and the next several days are just going to keep the pace.

For a quick rundown:

Last week, we learned how to administer oral antibiotics to a chicken. That was an adventure.

This past Sunday and Monday were filled with good times with old friends, and my soul is full and my spirit was nourished in only the way fellowship with other believers accomplishes. It was wonderful.

Tonight, we (me and the rest of the Ferrets) get to hear Neil Gaiman speak. His visit to Tulsa was announced nearly a year and a half ago, so we’ve all been anxiously awaiting this night. We pretty much bought tickets as soon as they went on sale.

On Thursday, I’m getting compost and mulch for my garden beds. The soil temps are starting to rise, so it’s almost planting time, whoo!

Saturday, there is a local writing workshop I’m going to, and sometime this upcoming weekend we will also be celebrating Mr. Loper’s Grandmother’s birthday (his maternal grandmother).

Sunday, Michelle and I start plotting for Camp NaNo (holy cow, how is that around the corner?), and next Monday, I’ll be going to see Cinderella with MIL. Because Mr. Loper did not want to see it.

So, because of the craziness and the need for Introvert Recharging Time, please forgive me if I don’t have very many posts for the next couple of weeks. This too shall pass!

Speaking of Cinderella, have you seen the trailer? Are you as excited as I am?

  1. YES! Cinderella was never my favorite Disney princess growing up but now I’m a stay at home mom, I seriously identify with her lol. And I greatly approve of all the Downton Abbey alumni Disney is casting.

    1. Cinderella is the first Disney movie I have memories of watching, Sleeping Beauty being the second. My love for Cinderella has faded a bit over time, but occasionally I get nostalgic, and I’m excited to see how they revamp it!

And yes. Downton Abbey alum casting. I so hear you on that!

  2. Giving antibiotics to a chicken? That must have been fun. My daughter can’t wait to see Cinderella. I’m looking forward to seeing it, too, but I’m more looking forward to Beauty and the Beast. That’s always been my favorite Disney animated movie. Have fun with your busy week!

  3. Hey, this is the first time I see the Cinderella’s trailer. Mhm… I’m not sure it’s my thing, though.

I went to a conference with Neil Gaiman years ago. He was absolutely fantastic. I’m sure you’ll love it 🙂

Did you get my Twitter message? 😉

    1. I’m excited for Cinderella, but I’m waaaay more stoked for the live action Beauty and the Beast in the works.

Neil Gaiman was amazing last night. I’m so glad I went. It’s definitely something I will never forget!

I did get your Twitter message, and thanks so much! I appreciate the thought, but I’ve stopped accepting blog awards because they tend to spawn massive posts that I just don’t have time to write. I hope you understand!

    1. We didn’t give them all antibiotics, just one. She had a fever & severe diarrhea, she wasn’t just listless, and after Ned’s sudden (and quick) death, I didn’t want to take any chances since it very well could have been the same thing.

It’s so bizarre, though. I’ve never had a problem with any of them being sick, and and soon as we move them to a new part of the yard, something starts happening. I just hope we’ve finished it up now.
