This post is nearly late, and for that I apologize. I ended up biting off a bit more than I could chew between the A-Z Challenge, Camp NaNo, unexpected real life complications (really, when are those ever expected?), and this. The good news is that I’ve finally finished reading the book! About 30 minutes ago……

Stopping by for the first time for the A-Z Challenge? Read a short intro to the A-Zs of Worldbuilding here! Time is relative. I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist. Moving onto a serious note, time is relative, especially in fiction. Creating a sense of time passing is a necessary skill, but you don’t want it to…

Stopping by for the first time for the A-Z Challenge? Read a short intro to the A-Zs of Worldbuilding here! The pursuit of knowledge is a never-ending quest, and in a civilization it will lead to the development of medicine, technology, and other sciences. It may sometimes be a bloody path. And which sciences develop…

Stopping by for the first time for the A-Z Challenge? Read a short intro to the A-Zs of Worldbuilding here! Warning: Massive Post Ahead. Proceed with caution (aka: after you’ve caffeinated for the day). I’ll be honest – I could write an entire series on this topic alone, and I may do so after the…

Stopping by for the first time for the A-Z Challenge? Read a short intro to the A-Zs of Worldbuilding here! I’ve met a lot of people who, for some reason, think writing fantasy is all about… being a peace-loving hippie. About Rebekah

Rebekah Loper writes character-driven epic fantasy featuring resilient women in trying and impossible circumstances who just want to save themselves but usually end up saving the world, often while falling in love.
She lives in Tulsa, OK with her husband, dog, two formerly feral cats, a small flock of feathered dragons (...chickens. They're chickens), and an extensive tea collection. When she's not writing, she battles the Oklahoma elements in an effort to create a productive, permaculture urban homestead.
