This song probably comes close to topping my favorite Christmas songs of all time, list. Like, if I was doing these in any particular order, it would be somewhere in my top five songs. For certain.
I won’t lie, though. I had to listen to every rendition of this song that I had on Spotify – all four of them – to decide which was my absolute favorite.
If you’re curious, the other three versions I have are sung by Celtic Woman, Emmy Rossum, and Bing Crosby.
There is certainly no end of options when it comes to picking your favorite version of O Holy Night.
She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.

I have no clue what her name is, but I would play this song over and over on my mom’s old stereo/record player. It was a beautifully rich song on LP and I wish I could find it.
My second favorite is done y TSO and is all instrumental.

I actually have a couple upcoming in this ‘favorites’ series that were like that for me.
I know I’ve heard the TSO version of O Holy Night… but I can’t place it in my memory, currently. I’ll go look that up. 🙂
