Was He A Boy Like Me – My 25 Favorite Christmas Songs (Dec 9)

I… really don’t know what happened to the day, so this post is really late again. Oh well.

I don’t know what it is about this song that just… hits me in the feels.

Hardcore feels, ya’ll.

I think I was sobbing by the time the song reached the end the first time I ever heard it.

(Hah, how’s that for a run-on sentence? I’m still in November-mode, just so you know. Minimal editing.)

There is something about this song that pulls me out of my troubles, and into contemplation of the miracle of Christ.

The miracle of His humanity.

The Word became flesh, and lived among us.

John 1:14a WEB

Are there any Christmas songs that hit you in ‘the feels’?

About Rebekah

Rebekah Loper writes character-driven epic fantasy featuring resilient women in trying and impossible circumstances who just want to save themselves but usually end up saving the world, often while falling in love.
She lives in Tulsa, OK with her husband, dog, two formerly feral cats, a small flock of feathered dragons (...chickens. They're chickens), and an extensive tea collection. When she's not writing, she battles the Oklahoma elements in an effort to create a productive, permaculture urban homestead.
