Wow, it’s somehow time for Maria Zannini’s Holiday Spread blog-hop. Not sure how it’s time for it, but it is!
I wish I could say that half of the items (or more) on both my Thanksgiving and Christmas tables were homegrown. Sadly… none of it was. Except for the eggs in the pumpkin pie.
That can be a goal for next year.
But everything was made from scratch. No canned pumpkin here, no sirree. Mmm, mmm.

I’m posting your link in this morning’s blog. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

December 29, 2014 - 9:16 am ·The wreath is so beautiful! I’d love to have something like that, but I’m afraid someone would catch on fire passing food around.

December 29, 2014 - 12:51 pm ·I did stick my hand in the candle flame a couple of times while passing food around. But fortunately nothing actually burned or caught fire over the course of the evening!

I didn’t have a special Christmas dinner, but on New Year Day I’m cooking my grandpa’s traditional lunch. My grandpa would cook for DAYS over the holidays. I can’t do that, but at least I can do it for one special day 😉
