On Camp NaNo, Worldbuilding, and Rain

April is over, somehow. I did not meet my Camp NaNo goal, ending the month with only 25 of the 75 hours I was aiming for. But that’s still 25 more hours than I had on April 1st, and so I’m pleased with that, even if a bit disappointed that I couldn’t just get my butt in gear and finish up that last 50 hours. Because I pretty much didn’t write/edit most of the last half of the month.

The main thing I worked on for Camp NaNo was revisions of my A-Zs of Worldbuilding workbook (that I’ve been hinting at since I wrote the original blog series). I have made a lot of progress toward getting this ready to publish this summer, though I’m not putting out a firm date yet until I’ve finished getting my last bits of feedback and have implemented what is necessary.

If you’d like to help with promotion for the A-Zs of Worldbuilding (whether it’s a review, or just sharing it on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc) when publishing time has come, please fill out this short survey. Thank you!

In other news… we’ve had some rain.

You may recall when we had 15″ of rain in May of 2015.

We finished out April of 2017 with more than 10″ of rain. And most of that was in the last half of the month. Counting the first weekend of May, when it was still raining, we definitely came close to hitting that 15″ mark again over the course of a few weeks.

I’m just glad for a sunny weekend right now.

And lastly, I’m back on Twitter.

Almost two years to the date when I gave up Twitter. (Ironically.)

Followed! I’m not on Twitter much, but I like to follow my friends when I find them there.

We’ve had several storms, but it’s been more wind then rain, unfortunately.

      Thanks for the follow!

We’ve not had any true tornado storms this season *knocks on wood* but we’ve had some harsh winds. I think we’ll definitely have to replace the roof before next spring.

Hoping you get some good, soaking rain soon!

Any form of progress is progress, so you’re right to be happy with what you have 🙂

I’ve never got my head around Camp NaNo, I don’t know why. I tried it once, but didn’t go anywhere because I couldn’t get into the groove. It’s so different from NaNoWriMo.
From what you say, it’s changed again since when I took part (that was a few years ago).

I was busy doing the AtoZ Blogging Challenge in April. Have you ever tried it? It’s fun 🙂

Camp Nano is so very different from regular Nano, and I’m never as productive as I am in November.

I have done the A-Z blogging challenge before! It’s how I came up with the A-Zs of Worldbuilding. I just haven’t had the time the past few years to participate. I’m thinking I might do it again next year, though.
