It is 11:06 pm on November 30th as I sit down to write this post. Okay, honestly, I’ve already been sitting down for the majority of the past 4 hours, because we’re having our last-chance write-in, and boy did I need it this year.

I… hit a snare with my NaNoWriMo novel yesterday. I didn’t really appreciate that I hit it on the 2nd busiest day of my week, but I am glad I hit it near the end of the first week instead of in the middle of the second one.

The host smiled at me from across the set. “Are you excited, Alison?”

“Very excited!” I smiled back, but not too widely. It wouldn’t do for them to see the missing teeth.

“What kind of man are you hoping to meet through this experience?”

What did any zom- er, girl, come on this show for? I knew exactly why I was here, and it had my mouth watering… but I probably shouldn’t tell him that.
